The 2019-2020 school year was Mr. Sanchez’s first year as the Head Director at Terra Vista Middle School. His previous band directing experiences include eight years as the Head Director at Cavazos Middle School in Lubbock TX and five years as an Assistant Director in Roma TX in the Rio Grande Valley.  Mr. Sanchez currently holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Texas A&M University Kingsville and a Masters Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University. Mr. Sanchez is active in the Lubbock area as a private lesson instructor (low brass), band clinician, and local performer. He has or is currently performing with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Moonlight Musicals, The Westwind Brass Band, The Frontier Big Band, The Texas Tech Summer Jazz Orchestra, The Hub City Jazz Orchestra, The Rolling Thunder Trombone Quartet and many other performing groups in the Lubbock area. Mr. Sanchez is a member of The Texas Music Educators Association, The Texas Bandmasters Association and a Provisional Member of the Texas Music Adjudicators Association. Mr. Sanchez’s hobbies include weightlifting, woodworking, guitars, motorcycles, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu as well as a dedication to musical performances. He resides in Lubbock TX with his wife, three children, and his dog Tessie.
