Willow Bend Student Qualifies for National Spanish Spelling Bee

For the second year in a row, a Frenship elementary student is headed to the National Spanish Spelling Bee. Over the weekend, Willow Bend Elementary fifth grader Sara Patino took home first place in the Lubbock Spanish Spelling Bee Championship, securing a spot at the national competition hosted in Denver, Colorado in July 2021.

2020 – 2021 District Academic Calendar Adjustments

As of November 12, 2020, Frenship ISD will remove the Early Releases for elementary and middle school campuses only on December 17 and 18. By going to school for the full day on these two days, Frenship will be able to add back 240 instructional minutes and will remain in compliance with the State’s instructional minute requirements with little disruption to the academic calendar.

Frenship Alumna Competing on “The Voice”

Kelsie Watts recently performed for the blind auditions round of the singing competition show, The Voice. Her performance turned the chairs of Kelly Clarkson and Gwyn Stefani, but it was Team Kelly that Watts selected.
