Class Information In 8th grade RLA, we will be combining reading and writing for a comprehensive English experience. We will study short stories, novels, poetry, drama, and non-fiction works. In addition, we will work on writing and grammar skills through writing assignments.
Personal Information I am originally from Llano, Texas, but moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University. My husband Jason and I both threw shot put, discus, and hammer for the Texas Tech Track team from 2000 - 2004 and stayed in Lubbock after graduation. We have a 13-year-old son, Omo, who is a 8th grader at Terra Vista this year.
This is my 20th year in education and my 11th year at TVMS. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology in 2002. I earned a Master of Science degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology also from Texas Tech University in 2004. In 2010, I completed a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Lubbock Christian University.
I am also one of the NJHS sponsors this year and excited to serve our community and help our NJHS students serve as well.
