About Me

Hello!
I am the 6th and 7th grade Art Teacher! I enjoy the excitement in kids when they discover they can create things they didn't think they could with different materials. I attended South Plains College where I focused on Jewelry. After South Plains College, I attended Texas Tech University to pursue a degree in Art Education with an emphasis in Mixed Media Sculpture. I am excited to be a part of the Terra Vista Team! Go Panthers!

2nd Period- 9:09-9:59
3rd Period- 10:03-10:53
A Lunch- 11:33-12:03
4th Period- 12:03-1:03
Conference- 1:03-1:57
6th Period- 2:01-2:51
7th Period- 2:55-3:45
Tutorials: Thursdays 3:45-5:00
Must sign up with me prior to attending to ensure I have students attending!

Studio Expectations:

BE RESPECTFUL

I will:

  • Listen when the teacher or classmates are speaking
  • Use kind and appropriate language
  • Respect other students’ artwork, ideas, space, and supplies
  • Keep my hands, feet, and materials to myself
 
BE RESPONSIBLE

I will:

  • Come to class prepared and ready to work.
  • Follow directions the first time they are given.
  • Use class time wisely.
  • Take care of art supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Clean up my area before leaving class.
 
BE SAFE

I will:

  • Use all studio supplies and other materials correctly.
  • Walk in the art studio.
  • Report spills, broken tools, or unsafe behavior to the teacher.
  • Follow all safety directions for special materials and equipment.
 
BE CREATIVE

I will:

  • Try my best, even when the assignment is challenging.
  • Take creative risks and solve problems.
  • Understand that mistakes are part of learning.
  • Create my own original work and avoid copying another student’s artwork.
 
BE PRODUCTIVE

I will:

  • Stay on task during work time.
  • Complete assignments by the due date.
  • Ask for help when needed
  • Participate in discussions, critiques, and reflections.
