Hello Frenship Tigers.
I am excited to be starting my second year in Frenship ISD at Terra Vista Middle School. I will be teaching 6th grade RLA. This is my third year at Terra Vista and my eighth-year teaching overall.
I grew up in Lubbock, graduated from Monterey High School. I went to college at The University of Texas at Austin (I know..I know..) where I studied History and Government. While at UT, I earned teaching certifications in secondary Social Studies and 4th-8th grade RLA.
I received my Master's in Curriculum & Instruction from Lubbock Christian University in 2018.
My goal is to help students improve in their ability to communicate their thoughts and ideas through reading, writing, and speaking.
My schedule: 6th grade RLA is double blocked, meaning students will see me during the AM periods and PM periods.
* 1st Period & 5th Period - 6th Grade RLA
* 2nd & 7th period - 6th Grade RLA
* 4th & 6th Period - 6th Grade RLA
* 3rd Period - Conference
Classroom Supplies: please bring these items everyday:
- A small binder (half inch) or plastic folder to keep notes and papers for each Six Weeks.
- A small spiral notebook for writing activities.
- Your computer (given out August 29th)
- Pencil and/or pen
Tutorials:
I am available before and after school by appointment. I am usually on campus by 7:45 am at the latest and don’t leave until 4:15 pm. Please try to communicate with me beforehand – student can schedule with me during class, send me an email at [email protected] or message me on Remind (this would be best if you’re messaging in the evening).
