Hi, I'm LaDawn Snapp and this is my 4th year at Terra Vista and my 30th year to teach. This year is super exciting because we're now PANTHERS and our kids will attend Memorial High School when they leave us. I graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville with a Bachelor's degree in Ag Services and Development. After graduating and substituting for a year I decided to go back and become a teacher. I'm a 3rd generation teacher and I don't regret making the choice to teach. I'm married to my husband Stacy of 34 years who is a Fire Apparatus Engineer, and we have one daughter Alexis who is the leasing manager for Park East Student Living. We moved to Lubbock 7 years ago from the north Dallas area where I taught Resource ELA, Inclusion for 6,7,8th grades for many years. I'm one of the cheer coaches here at TVMS and I love it! I have been a cheer coach for 16 years. I enjoy being outdoors, sewing, traveling, making floral arrangements/crafts, and homecoming mums. Most weekends you will find my family at our farm in Eastland County. I love the peace and quiet and below are a few pictures of my family and favorite things. The picture of the sunset is at our farm. It's absolutely gorgeous and it's my happy place.
I'm excited to have your students this year. We're going to work super hard, learn new things, and prepare them for 8th grade and high school. I believe that all my students can and will learn to their fullest potential, and I will push them to do their very best. It's going to be a great year.
