Several Frenship ISD Life Skills athletes competed in Special Olympics Bowling this past weekend - that's just how they roll!

The Texas Bluebonnet Awards are an annual contest that is organized by the Texas Librarians Association (TLA) and voted on completely by students.

Frenship FFA and 4-H students compete in Local Stock Show ahead of the upcoming season.

After a month-long voting competition, the Frenship Foundation for Leadership was awarded $1,000 through the City Bank Community Rewards Program to continue their mission of giving back to Frenship students and staff.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Association of School Boards proclaim January as Texas School Board Recognition Month to help highlight the invaluable contributions of the dedicated men and women who serve as trustees for the betterment of all Texas schools.

Frenship ISD would like to congratulate Director of Communications and Community Engagement Tiffany Taylor and Frenship ISD Police Officer Jody Scifres on graduating from the 44th Leadership Lubbock program.

This week Frenship students involved in the Superintendent Student Advisory Board and Willow Bend Elementary Student Council teamed up with the Rotary Club of Lubbock, and several other community partners, to fill backpacks with food for students over the extended holiday break.

Last month, Terra Vista Middle School hosted its first ever Family Game Night, where students and their families were able to come enjoy board games and refreshments, and had the opportunity to win fun prizes!

Each middle school in the District honored Superintendent Select students this week at special ceremonies. Eighth grade students are chosen based on their performance on their STAAR test from the previous year, scoring in the top 10% in the District in at least one subject area.

The referral window for the Frenship ISD Gifted and Talented Program is now open. Parents interested in referring students in grades first through 11th must turn in the referral packet to their campus no later than December 10.
