Frenship ISD Director of Finance Hunter LoCascio Named to Top 20 Under 40

The Top 20 Under 40 Award recognizes individuals under the age of 40 who are movement makers and game changers, working to make Lubbock a better place to live, work, play, learn, and raise a family. LoCascio will be recognized at the Young Professionals of Lubbock Top 20 Under 40 Awards Gala in January.

“Being selected as one of Lubbock’s Top 20 Under 40 is truly an honor. Lubbock is a vibrant and growing community that continues to make an impact across education, healthcare, agriculture, and many other industries. Having called this community home my entire life, it is especially meaningful to be recognized as a rising professional and leader among other incredibly talented individuals. Seeing the accomplishments of my fellow honorees makes this recognition even more humbling, and I am sincerely grateful to be included among such an outstanding group,” LoCascio said.

In addition to his work with Frenship ISD, LoCascio serves as an intern course instructor and Treasurer of the South Plains Affiliate for the Texas Association of School Business Officials. He is a member of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals and is preparing to graduate from its Leadership Lubbock program. He also serves as Membership Committee Chairman of the Rawls College of Business Recent Alumni Board.

LoCascio is also actively involved at Fellowship Church Lubbock, where he operates the bookstore during the annual conference, helps lead a college and career small group, and is training to take over the church’s treasurer role in 2027.

LoCascio has served Frenship ISD for more than six years and said the people and shared mission of the District are among his favorite parts of being a member of the Frenship family.

“The Frenship family is just incredible. I get to work alongside some of the best people across all of our campuses and administration. I am thankful for the family feel across the District and the common goal we all share of providing the best education and support to all of our students by seeking perfection and capturing excellence,” LoCascio said.

Reflecting on his professional journey, LoCascio expressed gratitude for the mentors, colleagues, family, and friends who have encouraged and supported him along the way.

“I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for many people along the way taking a chance on me. To my prior and current bosses and mentors who saw something in me, gave me a chance, and built me up and encouraged me - thank you. I am also incredibly blessed by a strong village of family and friends, especially my wife Laura, who always lifts me up and supports me in all that I do.”

Frenship ISD congratulates Hunter LoCascio on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates his continued leadership, service, and commitment to the Frenship family and the Lubbock community.
