Wayne Groves joins Frenship Middle School with 20 years of experience in education and a deep commitment to building positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
A graduate of Lubbock Christian University, Groves holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in administration. He says the opportunity to move into the Frenship district came at just the right time.
“When the opportunity came to move into the Frenship district, I felt like it was the perfect time,” said Groves.
He began his career teaching in Lubbock ISD, where he spent 11 years in the classroom, teaching a range of grade levels from 5th through 8th grade. For the past nine years, Groves served as an assistant principal at Roosevelt ISD, working at both the middle school and high school levels.
As the new school year begins, Groves says he is eager to connect with the Frenship Middle School community.
“I'm most excited about starting a new campus and building relationships with students, staff and families,” said Groves.
Outside of school, Groves and his wife are proud parents of three children who all attend Frenship ISD.
“I am incredibly grateful to be at Frenship Middle School and look forward to an amazing year,” said Groves.
