I am excited about sharing my passion for Reading and Language Arts with TVMS 7th Grade Frenship Tigers! I am a pet parent to a sweet Pomeranian named Sugar, a proud Texas Tech mom to a daughter studying Kinesiology/Physical Therapy (Go Red Raiders!), and the mother of a son that recently graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas where he studied in the Arts and Technology program focusing on programming and coding in the game design industry.
Tidbits about me: My most memorable experience involved traveling to Belize to teach and work in the Mayan village schools. My favorite moments involved shaking the hand of my beloved childhood author Judy Blume, meeting John Green, speaking with Orson Scott Card about his works, and participating in a dinner event with the late Elie Wiesel. My biggest thrill-seeking adventures included ziplining in the forest, snorkeling above the coral reef, windsurfing in a lagoon, scuba diving in a swimming pool, skydiving, and cave swimming near a real-life whirlpool. My edible indulgences include vegetarian cuisine, sugar-free chocolates, and Lay's classic potato chips.
