Frenship ISD Middle Schools Excel at UIL Evaluations

This year, the judging at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluations was extremely tough, but the middle school band students showed up prepared. All the bands from Frenship earned a Division 2 Excellence or Division 1 Superior rating in concert and sight-reading evaluations.

Bands that earn Division 1 Superior in both the concert and sight-reading evaluations also earn a Sweepstakes Award. Three Frenship middle school bands earned this prestigious award.

The Frenship Middle School Honors (Varsity) band earned a Sweepstakes Award, marking this the 26th year in a row for FMS to earn this award. The newest Frenship campus, Alcove Trails Middle School, only competed as a Non-Varsity Band, but earned their very first Sweepstakes Award, setting a precedence for excellence.

“I'm very proud of not only the Heritage students but also the Frenship Band Program in general,” said David Biel, Heritage Middle School Band Director. “Everyone has worked so hard!"
